Community Orchard
The community of Poundbury has an orchard where volunteers work to maintain the apple trees, geese and surroundings. It is located next to the community allotments behind Parkway Farm.
A local group Transition Town Dorchester manages the Poundbury Community Orchard which includes 60 heritage apple and pear trees, planted in honour of HRH The Prince of Wales. A new wildlife pond is now fenced off and starting to establish itself. The group also has bees, hens, geese and ducks.
