Jubilee Hall 2022

In its opening year, the Duchy have been delighted that Jubilee Hall has hosted a variety of popular community events. It is an impressive, spacious building, centrally located at Queen Mother Square, and ideal for occasions that cater for larger groups and gatherings. The Hall is architecturally unique, incorporating structural elements of the Royal Jubilee Hall which was erected as a music hall and theatre in Weymouth in 1887 and demolished in 1989. The Duchy of Cornwall recovered historic cast iron columns and brackets to provide historical continuity and a sense of grandeur once inside the Hall.

It has been a pleasure to see the venue used for the following events in 2022

• Dorset County Spring Show
• ‘It’s up to us’ exhibition (Art in Poundbury)
• ‘Making our mark’ exhibition (Art in Poundbury)
• Two Poundbury Independent markets
• Monthly Farmer’s markets
