'A Sea of Talent' exhibition at Jubilee Hall

Art in Poundbury will be back in the Jubilee Hall, Queen Mother Square, with their Winter Exhibition 2023, ‘A Sea of Talent’. Open daily from Saturday 2 December to Sunday 10 December 10am – 4pm, free entry.

With work on sale from over 100 artists across Dorset there will be plenty of inspiration for some Christmas shopping, from paintings to prints, papier-mache to pottery, wood to wire, ceramics to cards and everything in between.

Pupils from The Prince of Wales School and Damers First School have been busy creating a huge community art installation, aptly named ‘A Sea of Talent’ – collaborating on a large underwater-themed artwork to be prominently displayed in the hall. A community art day, open to the public, was held on 11 November, to create even more artwork for the project.

To compliment these colourful pieces is “Meet the Artist” – where visitors will get the chance each day to meet some of the artists who are exhibiting.

“We’re looking forward to unveiling our next exhibition and you can expect to see a fabulous cross-section of work,” says Art in Poundbury director, Judy Tate. “A lot of people have put in a lot of work, from artists to volunteers, and sponsors, and all with the same goal in mind – to create an exhibition for everyone to come along and enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there!”
